Here's ticket info on the Visalia, CA (11/19) show, from Jen:
"The show's gonna be at the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, CA on Nov. 19. Show starts at 6:00 P.M. and doors open at 5. Tickets are available through all bass ticket outlets and can also be ordered online through the basstickets website (www.basstickets.com) or www.tickets.com. Tickets (through bass) were $20.50 + $4.35 service charge. You can also call the Visalia Convention Center Box Office and get tickets for $22 (I think that's without service charge, not sure). Their number is (559) 730-7070."

GOO GOO DOLLS WIN WB RADIO MUSIC AWARD; "IRIS" NAMED POP SONG OF THE YEAR.
Warner Bros. recording artists the Goo Goo Dolls were honored with the POP SONG OF THE YEAR award for their No. 1 hit "Iris" at the WB Radio Music Awards. Telecast live on October 28th from the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas, winners were selected by the Radio Music Awards Academy which includes four hundred radio programmers from the top fifty radio markets.
The Goo Goo Dolls are currently headlining MP3.com's Music and Technology Tour and were unable to attend the event.
"Iris" appears on two multi-platinum albums: the Goo Goo Dolls latest release, Dizzy Up the Girl and on the soundtrack to the film City of Angels. This past February, the group received three GRAMMY nominations for "Iris."
The song was honored at the BMI Awards as 1998's "Most Performed Song from a Film" and according to the music trade publication, Airplay Monitor, it was the most played song of 1998.
Up next for the Goo Goo Dolls - an overseas military "Christmas Tour" in December. Performances include one on board the aircraft carrier the USS John F. Kennedy, and at Naval, Air Force and Army bases in Germany, Italy and Bosnia. The band is then scheduled to perform live at MTV's Times Square Studio on New Year's Eve. At a recent Sesame Street taping the Goo Goo Dolls sang with Muppet star Elmo on the song "Pride", a rendition of their hit "Slide." The segment will air in the new year.

The report is that they played a great show, and were dressed as follows: John --> Wounded JFK, Robby --> Batman Pez Dispenser, Dave --> Grinch, Mike --> Frankenstein mask, Nathan --> Nathan, and Dave (tour manager, harmonica on Broadway) --> Beanie Baby.

00:32:07 - New Goo dates! Pollstar is now listing dates for November 19 in Visalia, CA at the Convention Center and the Seattle, WA show on November 22 at the Paramount, which was mentioned on the site a few days ago!

10/25/99 17:57:45 - Press release! Also, sadly, I'm hearing from multiple sources, including mp3.com, that the Montclair (10/27) concert has been cancelled. I wish it weren't true, but it looks as though it is.

GOO GOO DOLLS MAKE PLANS FOR THE YEAR 2000.
SESAME STREET Appearance To Air Early Next Year; Live Performance Scheduled For MTV'S NEW YEAR'S EVE MILLENNIUM BASH.
Warner Bros. recording artists the Goo Goo Dolls are taping a segment of Sesame Street this week. The band will sing a rendition of their No.1 hit "Slide" accompanied by Muppet star of film and television, Elmo. With new lyrics, "Slide" becomes "Pride" and is aimed at the young viewers of Sesame Street and the various tasks they can feel proud of. An air date will be scheduled sometime after January 2000 when Sesame Street begins their 31st season on PBS.
In other millennium-related news, the Goo Goo Dolls will be ringing in the new year with a live performance at MTV's exclusive New Year's Eve Millennium Bash in New York's Times Square on December 31st. The band is also joining the music television for their "Fly 2K" promotion where winners will be picked up in several countries and flown in a private party plane to New York City for the Millennium Bash. The Goo Goo Dolls will fly with winners from a yet-to-be-named city, providing in-flight entertainment as they travel to New York. MTV viewers can enter the "Fly 2K" contest on November 29th when a special 800 number is revealed. Other performers involved in MTV's party plans are Bush, Blink 182, 98 Degrees and Christina Aguilera.
