Smashing Pumpkins talk tour as "Adore" hit stores
With their new album "Adore" arriving in stores this week, the Smashing Pumpkins are currently giving the album a push with a European tour, and will do the same on an upcoming U.S. trek.
The band will bring their acoustic-but-not-unplugged,
electronic-but-not-electronica sound to the States starting July
5 at the
Milwaukee Summerfest, and will play a few dates on the H.O.R.D.E.
tour
As for what fans can expect, both in Europe and here in the States, Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan recently told MTV News, "Every record we always say we're going to do it different, we end up doing the exact smae thing. Every tour on each album has been 14 plus months, so invariably you're a little past your due date. We're building this in, so we don't play past a certain point. We're starting another album in September, so we won't really be playing beyond September."
The Pumpkins play Paris on Thursday, and we expect to have more summer tour news on the band next week.
