This is my first bass tab but im pretty good at this kick ass song...
it is pretty easy to play just listen to the song for the rythm. Enjoy.
Normal Tuning
Intro: Hold 2 sets
bass enters
G|---------------------------------
D|-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4- play 3 times
A|---------------------------------
E|---------------------------------
G|---------------------------------
D|-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4-4--------- play 1 time
A|-------------------------2-2-2-2-
E|---------------------------------
Chorus:
G|-----------------------
D|----------------------- play 7 times
A|------------------0-2--
E|-0-2-2--0-2--0-2-------
G|-----------------------
D|-7-4----6-2------------ play 1 time (only before verses)
A|------4------0-2/------
E|---------------2/------
Verse:
G|-----------------------
D|-3-3--5-5--7-7--------- play many times...but on the sets before the
A|----------------2/----- chorus don't play it...
E|----------------2/-----
This is a variation that tim does for the little verse riff on the
second time zach says "a spectacle monopolized":
G|----------------------------------
D|-5-3-----0-0--3-3--5-5--7-7-------
A|-----5-3---------------------2/---
E|-----------------------------2/---
After the second verse, don't play the second part of the chorus...just
do the beginning of the chorus 8 times
Bridge: hold 2 sets then play the intro riff...it's exactly like the
intro
During the guitar solo play this:
G|----------------------
D|---------------------- x3
A|-----------------0-2--
E|-0-2-2--0-2--0-2------
G|---------------------------
D|--------------------------- x1...then play the above 3 more times and
A|-----------------/9-9-9-9-- then add the end of the chorus riff
E|-0-2-2--0-2--0-2-----------
Last Part:
G|-------------------------
D|------------------------- x6
A|-----9/------9/------9/--
E|-0-2-----0-2-----0-2-----
And there you have it...email me at [email protected] if you have any
questions, comments, or corrections...but i think this is perfect.
