My name is Tom Hooker. I am sixteen and would like people to know about capitalist propaganda in schools.

In the classroom, I learned that capitalism was the only "good" economy, and learned a lot about it. However, I did not learn that much about communism or socialism. I learned that communism was totalitarinist, and that socialism led to communism.

Up until I turned sixteen, I thought that communism and socialism both were evil, and would sometimes call things or people communist. Luckily, I found out that I didn't know much about the two and investigated. What I discovered was that capitalism is actually every man for himself, and that communism and socialism is an equal distribution. I also discovered that the former leaders of the U.S.S.R. and China were not true to the communist philosphy. I became a socialist, and agree with some things in communism, and some things in capitalism. In conclusion, if you don't really know about something, find out more and make your own decision.
