Rage Against The Machine is my favorite band not only cause they rock but
they have a purpose behind it all. Most bands just go out there for the
money and "nookie" that goes along with a rock n' roll lifestyle. But that
isn't the norm for RATM. Zack and Tom have opened my eyes to all of the
injustice that is in our world and especially America (i.e. "Know Your Enemy"
"The land of the free. What? Who ever told you that is your enemy."). I have
stress the Mumia Abu-Jamal case to everyone at my school. Rage has shown me
that he is a true political prisoner. I also spread the word about Indian
activist Leonard Peltier. RATM, to me, is all about fighting about what is
right and they are just trying to give everyone in the world a new
perspective on issues that the system (government) blindfolds from the
public. The best thing about RATM is that they have the ability to speak to
kids by doing it through music. I am only 16 and it took like four years for
me to realize that RATM's music have a message. I made a little scrap book
on RATM and I carry it with me wherever I go so I can spread the word of Zack
de la Rocha. I wish I could meet them and chill with them but they don't
even come to Florida to do a show. They are my heroes and it is my wish to
just have lunch with them and swap stories. So if the band members read
this, you got a huge rage fan down in Orlando, Florida that is dying for you
guess to just do a concert down here. I would love to hear some feedback on
my letter.Peace out Rage fans! Rock on!
