Here is my attempt at an overview of our day yesterday.
Went to bed at 4:00am (too excited to sleep).
Woke at 5:30am - got ready and left the house at 7 am.
Picked up our Goo friend and the rental car 8am.
Ate and headed for NYC 8:30am.
Drove.
Drove.
Drove.
Got a speeding ticket.
Drove.
Drove.
About 3:00 PM arrived in NYC.
Found a parking spot ($24.00) and walked to the Ballroom.
We met up with Losersdayparade and agirlnamedsue.
We met all their guests and had fun standing in line.
Stood in line.
Stood in line.
Stood in line.
Moved from one line to another.

You get the point.
It was very hot and sweaty while standing in line outside.
I got grouchy and didn't want any part of people getting
infront of us!
I will shorten this up and say we finally got inside after
6:00pm.
The studio was really nice. The stage looked great.
The ballroom was airconditioned but all the hot bodies
were heating the place up.
**So for those of you not there, the reason we all look like we just walked through a car wash was because it was so hot and humid. We are all going to look shiny..but we were shiny happy people!**
The guys finally came out about 8:10pm. They looked great and sounded even better. It was heaven on earth. They rocked and we screamed. I haven't had so much fun in many years. I will skip to after the show now since many others talked about it. (great reviews from fellow WoGers that were there!)
We hung outside and talked to some of the band crew guys while waiting to tell the guys how much they rocked. We had Mike walk right past us and we told him he was great, he gave us a nice smile and walked toward his bus. Then a while later Robby came by and the band crew memeber we were talking to at the time thought it would be funny to try to grab Robby as he walked by with security. Robby saw it was him and played it up. Security didn't know it wasn't a crazed fan, so they weren't happy. We were able to tell Robby he was great and we gave him a pat on the back. He is such a nice guy. Security came back after Robby got on the bus and they were laughing with the crew member because he scared them. They said we almost shot you...and they all laughed. Not funny to me but they liked it. We stood outside and talked to a few other fans and crew memebers. Johnny had friends there and I know they were told to get on the other bus and wait for JOhnny so we knew he was not riding with Mike and Robby. We hung out a while later and saw Johnny rushed outside with security all around him and ducking his head. I guess he wanted no pictures taken. He jumped on the bus and that was it. A great night.
It was after 11:00pm and we decided to take a walk to Times Square and get a bite to eat before getting back in the car and driving home.
12:00am we took a cab back to the parking lot and got ready for the long trip home.
We were all so tired. My husband had no sleep and he was driving. We went to ground zero and that was very
emotional for all of us. Then we took a bridge and we got lost. After midnight we were driving around in Brooklyn, the Bronx and Queens. Finally we found our way back to Manhattan and off to Jersey .
We drove through a horrible storm, there was actually a tornado in the Catskills on our way. We had to stop because there was no visibility.
At last we pulled back in to Rochester, NY at 8am.
Dropped the car off and went home for some well deserved sleep.
Well that is it. We have been sleeping all day. It feels so good just to lay down and stretch the legs...ouch the feet were hurting after all that standing. It was worth it though. Next time we fly. No more 14 hours of driving in one day. WE are tooooooo old for that stuff. We have three shows in August and I can't wait. However I am so tired of driving I want to fly or take a train to all of them even though some aren't that far. I don't want to even sit in a car for a while....haha. Another area is quite sore from sitting so long...haha!
We had an awesome time. It was ten times better than I even imagined. I am looking forward to the show on tv. We met some great Goo fans. It's amazing how loyal the fans are. I hope all returned safe to their homes after the show.
a very very tired,
Sharon
