(Warner)
They are fresh faced and young but ironically have been sitting on
the music industry wheel since 1996, introducing the Goo Goo
Dolls. Currently sitting high and dry and confident with there
recent single release 'Only One'. Goo Goo Dolls have had six
albums released although 'A Boy Named Goo' is the first release
since signing with Warner Bros. Records in 1997. This album
reminisces with yesteryear songs of The Ramones and even a
slight hint of REM, the obvious comparison is the
raw-smashing-rock'n'roll sound of pure hard well written songs
and explicitly perfect lyrics. Front man and guitarist Johnny
Rzeznik has it all talent, style and for the girlie fans very gorgeous
and handsome looks. Goo Goo Dolls have a nice clean sound
that somewhat is still able to carry a pop-thrash-heavy tone that
leaves the listener clear about what they are hearing. Not like
many bands that make you feel all stirred and confused not only
about the musicianship but what language the vocalist is singing in
if any at all. Much to the credit of this talent you can find their
music on many movie soundtracks such as Nightmare on Elm
Street 6, Batman and Robin and more recently City of Angels.
Keep an eye out for Goo Goo Dolls which won't be hard as they
are all over the media at present from TV to print.
