Oprah helps out Garth Brooks

Feb.18, 1998--Ever since Country Music Star Garth Brooks has appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show, the sales with his most recent album Sevens has increased. His album sold 124,000 copies in a week and has gone from No. 24 to No. 4. on the Top 200 Billboard. As for the Country Music Charts he is No. 1 right above Shania Twain and LeAnne Rimes who place in 2nd and 3rd.

All of the money Sevens has made this week has gone to Oprah’s Angel Network which goes toward funding college scholarships for students in need.

Other News: On February 28, you can see Garth Brooks on Saturday Night Live. He will be a host and a musical guest.
