02/22/97 -- Philadelphia, PA -- Electric Factory

The first time I saw Fuel was when they opened up for Silverchair Feb. 22 1997. * I just want to make it clear that I was there to see Handsome(the band supposed to open up for Silverchair but didn't show), not Silverchair.* They walked out on stage and started playing and I automatically got really good vibes from them. I thought to myself " I have no clue who these guys are, but they rock" Brett added a lot of intensity to the songs and you could really feel the music. I especially liked how they mixed there set with hard songs and more mellow songs. In the middle of Mary Pretends I looked around and realized that I wasn't the only one who was enjoying the show...the whole crowd was totally into it. The best part was that later Brett was satnding outside just chillin and I walked up and got to talk to him for a bit. They were totally cool. The whole show was just an awesome experience.
