Title: Re: String Guages Post by Christian on Dec 30th, 2006, 2:33am Far too much work to switch gauges for specific songs. I just choose the ones that feel the most comfortable while playing. |

Title: Re: String Guages Post by tkc1989 on Jan 2nd, 2007, 3:48pm Oh god I snap strings all the time lol, some songs its best to either tune slightly lower and use a capo, or use different strings, eg. a b-string if u wanna tune the g to an A if that makes sense :S lol erm, if u use string and fret oils strings will supposedly snap less often too. |

Title: Re: String Guages Post by Heather on Apr 2nd, 2007, 12:11pm On acoutics, I use light or Medium if made by Elixar. Eletric, well If I play the Fender I use light. If I play the Les Paul, I use extra light. Only because its easier to bend the strings on one guitar than on the other with out snapping. And if you ever get hit with them, It's a burn that will last for a few stinging minutes lol Now on the bass, I use what ever. Heather |
