July 19th, 2010 - Burbank, CA: While electrifying audiences on the road for an explosive summer tour, Goo Goo Dolls have released an exclusive Tour only EP, entitled Waiting For the Rest Of It, which is being sold at all tour stops and will be released by all digital service providers on 8/10.

The EP includes four songs from the band's upcoming ninth studio album, Something For The Rest Of Us, which will be released by Warner Bros. Records on August 31st. They are: "Home" (the first single already being embraced at radio), "Sweetest Lie," "Now I Hear," and "Still Your Song." The EP also includes a live version of their hit "Broadway".

Something For The Rest Of Us will also be sold as a deluxe book edition exclusively at www.googoodolls.com. Pre-sale orders begin on July 22nd. This limited-edition book version features exclusive photos of the band, a digital download of "Home" upon purchase, and a limited-edition lithograph, some of which have been personally signed by each member of the band. Those who purchasethis release will also receive classic covers of Flesh for Lulu's "Postcards From Paradise" and Pete Townshend's "Rough Boys", plus an exclusive cover of the Kinks' classic "Catch Me Now I'm Falling" available only on this collection. These tracks will be delivered digitally on or before 8/31/10.

I don't know. I bought the EP and the songs on there sound great. The studio version of The Sweetest Lie is fantastic. And Still Your Song is nothing short of amazing. They played a song at the show called Not Broken and it gave me chills. It's epic live. I have very high hopes that the rest of the CD will be just as good.

Like Shannon, I too have listened to the EP & heard NotBroken live. I loved the songs they put on the EP & am hoping to like some of the other songs on this album.

I still can't bring myself to listen to 'Hey Ya'...I am going to have to eventually, but I am going to wait until August 31st... ;D

I plan to order mine tonight. I bought the tour CD while I was at the show and I am hooked. No surprise. :bowdown: The price is not too bad when you look at what you are getting. That seems pretty typical for a preorder limited edition.

Same here. I got an email & I am going to order it tonight too.

The EP they are selling at concerts are amazing, I get goosebumps every time I hear 'Still Your Song'.. :)
