JSince finding out that the goo's are working with a new producer, I really think it's a good idea!

Rob Cavallo has mainly worked with bands like the goo goo dolls - greenday, alanis morisette, switchfoot, etc. I loved Let Love In, but it wasn't as well received as some of their other albums like DUTG or gutterflower, maybe even ABNG (who knows).

While Mark Stent has worked with mainly pop singers - like Madonna, Britney Spears, The Spice Girls, No Doubt/Gwen Stefani, Janet Jackson, and Maroon 5 - these bands are a lot more popular and mainstream than the other. Also, a lot of these people (Britney, Madonna, Spice Girls, Gwen) have experienced large combacks in the past years , most notibaly britney. In the other forum someone said something about the goo's being so close to breaking through from soft rock/adult to mainstream pop/rock, and I really think that this is what will do it for them, and I am happy as a clam this is happening! I have personally loved everything that the goo's have done, but If it wasn't such huge fan I would not have known about a lot of their stuff - like many of my friends don't.

The goo's are soo underrated and I think that they will be back on pop radio, rocking the airwaves along side people like Mariah, Britney and Lady Gaga. All of whom I love. Just while I am on the topic, if any one says the Goo's are selling out (if they do this) I will need to have a conversation with you! Haha. Just kidding, but seriously. :)

I agree that this producer may be able to raise the band to a new level. And I also agree that the Goos are not sellouts!!!!
