I've been a fan for 13 years but didn't really start posting on the boards until about 6 years ago.

15 years. Since SSCW. I did buy HMU shortly after it first came out, but honestly didn't listen to it much until after SSCW, so I say that's when I became a real fan. Been posting on various boards only since 1999, though.

The first time I heard of them was in 2001, so I've been a fan for about 7 years. I'm sure I heard a bunch of their songs before that on the radio, but 2001 was the first time I consciously listened, paid attention, knew the name of the band, and realized I liked it.

Aaah, everyone here are veterans compared to me.

I've known about them 6 years, I've liked their music for precisely 1 year, 9 months and 12 days (I made a blog post about it, I'm such a geek 8D), but I'd say I've been a hardcore fan for about a year and a half, though.

Been a fan since Iris came out... but only really got into them in mid 2006 :)

I'm pretty sure it was late 2002 or 2003 ish. It was right after here is gone was released, but I did not become a fan because of that CD, I first heard Iris, Broadway, etc. I later learned that it was right after I became a fan that GF was released (coincidentally was my favorite CD ever :))
