Hmmmm.....didn't he just mention in the IM Q&A's how he's bought a couple classic cars but ends up selling them despite the fact that he loves them. I'm trying to remember what he said was the reason he keeps selling them .... upkeep? not knowing how to fix? I'm going to have to rewatch the video.

UPDATE: He said he thought it would be cool and then it took 5 years to build. And he's not a big tinkerer. And, he's grateful to have his garage back and he's NEVER going to own one again.

It's possible that could be his car.....who knows.

Looks like it could be the same car. It's the same color.

Nice car.
Same color as mine, but mine's no GTO.

Love, love, LOVE that car.  Loves me some GTO.

But I thought I remember seeing a picture of one of John's cars that was white. Maybe it was a different car, but I remember it also being a GTO.  Or maybe I'm just confused.

John had two GTOs at one point.  One was auctioned off for Save the Music, and that might have been the white one (I don't remember what color it was).  It's possible this is the second one and he might have sold it to the dealer a while ago, who is only now trying to resell it.

Buying cars on eBay makes me laugh.  I can't imagine buying something like that unseen.

Maybe you're thinking of the car in the Sympathy video?

Me too. I can't imagine buying a large ticket item like a car from eBay. I have a friend who sold his truck on eBay. The buyer never saw it in person and even paid to have the thing shipped across the country.

Damn, I bought 6 pack of hair gel on eBay and I'm pissed 'cuz I think it's counterfeit.

I dunno ... for *most* car purchases, I can understand wanting to see it before you commit to the deal.  But sadly, there's only so many of these beautiful cars left.  I'd buy it sight unseen, if I had the money and time it would take to restore.  It's a classic, and it's worth just about any price!

I bought a refurbished laptop on Ebay and it worked out fine. But I agree I would want to see a car before buying it...take it for a test drive, etc.

Yeah, it was a white GTO that he sold for a fundraiser!

I think he signed the car somewhere in the engine bay or boot...
