07.10.08: Volume Two, August 19
The Goo Goo Dolls will release Volume Two on August 19th. A special package will be made available from googoodolls.com, which will include the complete 19 song performace of Live at Red Rocks Ampitheatre. Pre-sales for this special package will begin soon... the entire performance includes: Long Way Down, Big Machine, Slide, Feel the Silence, Black Balloon, Lucky Star, January Friend, Cuz Your Gone, Become, All Eyes on Me, Name, Before It's Too Late, Slave Girl, Stay With You, Let Love In, Better Days, Iris, Naked and Broadway.

GST also said something about a limited edition signed litho of some sort that may be coming with it....I guess when that's finalized they'll announce it.

They just put up the pre-order page.

Points worthy of discussion now that I've discovered how much space is actually on the internet...

1. From here on out, it looks like we're going to have an original red text edition and then the secondary blue edition. First, LLI and LLI L&I, and now the slightly less ugly special edition of GHV2

2. GALB is now missing. From the cd and the video dvd. Not that I particularly care that GALB has been removed from the audio cd, but that makes one more music video missing from the set... You know, more missing from the stuff that's actually unreleased.

3. $29.99?! With shipping and tax in the great state of NY, the grand total is $39.40. If there were actual rarities on this disc, I wouldn't even flinch... I mean, kudos for putting out the full show, but no kudos for bleeding us dry for it.

4. You're/Your/Yer. The music videos aren't in the correct order. Aren't people getting, like, paid to put this stuff together?

I wish I could just get the Red Rocks DVD and a DVD with ALL their music videos, the CD portion is pretty much worthless to me. I don't know if I'll buy it. I thought I would once I heard we would get the whole Red Rocks show, but I am going to college soon, where I will have no money or time to watch it anyway, so buying it might be a waste of money for me.

I like the blue version of the cover a lot better, especially with the green buildings in the background.

$29.99 is a little steep in my opinion....but I'll probably wind up suckering myself into buying it anyway...
