It was relaxing as usual. But it was super, super hot. Like nearly 100' with 80-90% humidity. It was bearable in the shade and there was always a nice ocean breeze.

I have an ironic vacation story. We got there Saturday afternoon and all is good for a couple days. We had sunny weather every day...perfection. On Tuesday, after we've been in the sun all day my daughter shows me this rash on her chest and complained that it itched. She also had a couple bumps on her face that looked like acne. So I deduce that she's inherited my PABA allergy. I keep her out of the sun all day Wednesday and we do alternate things like outlet mall shopping, etc. Her face and chest looked better by Wednesday night so on Thursday I let her use my suncreen which I know is PABA free. So by Thursday night her chest looks better but her face looks horrible. She looked like a teen with bad acne. She was so embarrassed. She then shows me these red bumps with white heads, there were about 5 of them, on her chest and arms. She asks me if she could have chicken pox? I'm thinking no way ... she was vaccinated. Well come Friday morning when we were leaving we deduced that she did indeed have chicken pox. Oh the horror when I think of all the people she was exposed to. Turns out you can still get chicken pox even with the vaccination. The vaccination helped minimize the symptoms and severity. She was crusted over and clear by Saturday ... just in time for us to be home. So that's my interesting vacation story ;)

Oh your poor daughter, I hope she is feeling better really soon. That sucks getting the chicken pox, on vacation nonetheless! At least she's been vaccinated, so it's not as worse as it could've been!
