Title: Black Friday
Post by JohnnysValentine on Nov 22nd, 2007, 10:01pm
Tomorrow is going to be so insane at the mall so I desided to skip it and Chill out with Goo! I'd rather be with them than getting pushed and shoved all day! LOL

You couldn't pay me money to go out shopping tomorrow morning. There's no worse torture for me. I'm actually done with most of my Christmas shopping so I can avoid the Christmas crowds. You all think Detroit is rude at a concert.... can you imagine what it's like on Black Friday? It's not pretty. I also have no desire to get up that early in the morning if I don't have to. ;)

Not so much rude as absolutely insane. :D  I don't know how you've survived that multiple times.

My dad wants me to go on the crazy early morning shopping trip tomorrow, and I'd really like to people watch, but I don't know if it's gonna happen.  Getting up at 4 am and waiting around in the snow doesn't sound as wonderful as my bed.

I switched a shift because a partner wanted to go shopping tomorrow.

I would not go over tomorrow.
It would take 10 times as long just to get across the boarder.
No way.

You don't have Black Friday in Canada?

Nope. Your Black Friday is equivalent to our Boxing Day...sort of, a little less hectic, except Boxing Day is the day right after Christmas.

Success!  Rolled out of bed, went through the madness of Walmart, went to a couple other places, got some hot chocolate, and now I'm going back to bed while the sun thinks about coming up.  :D

i braved Black Friday and actually got a few deals.  did get scratched by some chick at Wal-Mart at the 2.96 DVD's. . .i always go out on Black Friday, but this is was first time i ever went to Wal-Mart.  two words:  NEVER AGAIN.

cool thing though, i was at Old Navy and some guy that worked there was like, "you like to Goo Goo Dolls?"  i had my little track jacket on and i tuned around and he saw that i had my Goo shirt on too and was like, "looks like ya do."  then he asked if i got my 7.99 greatest hits from Best Buy and we had a nice little chat about 'em.

craziest thing i saw though was this lady literally freak at K-Mart in the check out line.  i was scared.
