11.14.07: Thanksgiving Halftime Show!

The Goo Goo Dolls will hit the field for United Way, the Detroit Lions and National Football League during the Thanksgiving Day Halftime Show as part of the Lions vs. Green Bay Packers game at Ford Field November 22 at 12:30 p.m. (ET) on FOX, it was announced today. They will be performing "Better Days" and "Stay With You".

AHHHHHHH......how can the guys be in town and me not be able to see them at all **cries**. This is a big game and has been sold out for awhile now. I find it so depressing when they're in town and I can't even go. They better show halftime on tv!!!

I saw that. As much as I'd love to go I'm hosting Thanksgiving at my house. I think it would be a bit rude to leave in the middle of the day to go watch 2 songs during halftime. My mom would really think I'd lost it ... lol She still doesn't understand why I need to see any band more than once in concert. Could you imagine us in the middle of cooking dinner, my in-laws over, and I just up and leave to go see halftime? Oh my .... that would not go over well at all.

I missed it!!!

I was in work and someone came in from the game. Detroit lost, so I asked him about the goo goo dolls, mind you he probably figured I was a crazy fan or something, he said that they took 10 minutes of halftime to set up and they played for about 6 minutes and were done.

He never mentioned if they were good or not, I think he was getting sick of me asking all these questions...anyways, that's the information I got.

I watched it. I was thinking they sounded really great. I thought John's voice was excellent.....not pitchy. And I love Robby's new hair. They only played 10 minutes or less. It was super quick. I didn't think the dancers were cheesy but my brother-in-law did.

The dancers really didn't seem cheesy to me. It's all just part of any half time event. At the end the dancers held up a United Way banner. But overall I thought the performance was really good. John did a commercial for United Way right after the performance.

It was alright. �I heard Kelly Clarkson's halftime show for the next game and while she sounded wretched (really) she got a lot more air time. �The two anthems were pretty terrible too. �So, in comparison, the Goos were excellent. �:D �Boo for so little Robby love though.

I've put it on youtube for those who missed it. �It'll be up until I get delete happy.

Not great because
A. �It's Youtube and the 'best quality' settings apparently don't work
B. �We can send people into outerspace, but we can't have a non-pixelated channel. �Thanks, Time Warner!

i have to say, the kids dancing in front of them didnt freak me out as much as i thought it would

and i do think john has sounded better, but it was still great :-D

Your recording is way better than the other youtube one I found. I must say .... it takes serious talent to play the keyboard with a pic between your fingers.

I like being able to share with people who don't have access to the same things I do and I'm used to the minimal appreciation, but I just found out someone ripped some of my videos off of Youtube (identified by as mine by the tags) and is sharing the downloads without even acknowledging my effort to share.
