How do you get on the street team? I was always confused on how that all started...

I read something about it on Inner Machine a while ago but then there was a thread that said it was not an offical street team. I was talking to my friend Ruth last week and she told me she joined the goo street team so I decided to check it out. You can find it in yahoo groups and on myspace.
