just got me a new Goo Goo Dolls tattoo on Monday and thought i would share it with you all.  it has the music notes from Black Balloon copied straight from the music book, the third verse, my absolute fav.  the butterflies are from the dress the girl is wearing on the DUTG album cover.  you can't see it, but on the side, there is a dove to represent my Stevie Nicks love.

oh yeah, it hurt!  

i didn't like cry or whine or anything, just every once in awhile i'd bring my hands to my face and it'd look like i was doing an impersonation of the boy from Home Alone. . .the guy told me it was gonna, "hurt like hell," and he wasn't lying!  

i already have another piece that will go along with it and it has lyrics from Black Balloon.  eventually, it'll go higher up my leg and will all be Black Balloon related. . . ;D

It took me 3 hours......yes 3 hours to get my tattoo and it hurt like hell. It hurt so bad that I was clenching my jaw the entire time. When I was done I nearly had lock jaw from clenching so hard....lol  The guy who did my tattoo didn't warn me because he probably figured I'd chicken out.

that is my 4th tattoo and by far, it is the one that hurt the most.  i got one on my wrist and getting the tattoo itself was annoying and it hurt, but my whole arm was sore the next day because i was so tense.  i had it clenched up during the whole thing.  

tattoos are super addictive though!  my very first one is the Gutterflower and sadly, i hate it.  it's faded a bit and i think i want to get the black background with it, but at the time i thought it was awesome.  *sigh*

on the Gutterflower, it was my very first tattoo and i was kinda scared and didn't really wanna sit that long.   so i told the guy he didn't have to put all the black background on it, mistake on my part.  at the time i thought it was awesome and hardcore, but now it looks like a stick on that's coming off. . .and the shading in the middle is just horrible.  that's my name above it, i really wanted to get "God it's good to be alive," circled around it, but my friend talked me out of it and talked me into getting my name.  i don't even know how it came down to that.  but yeah, i hate it.

I can't imagine sitting for that though.  I have one that goes around my ankle and it hurt...a lot.  Especially the part near the bone and my achilles tendon.  Neither of my other two hurt much at all but neither is on my foot.
