Title: Re: Sound Off With Matt Pinfield Post by Shannon on Sep 16th, 2007, 10:45pm I found this on IAG. It premieres right after Matt Pinfield on HDNET. I'm all excited to see this. It's times like this where I'm grateful for the hubby's sports addiction. I can guarantee you it's the only reason we have HD channels ;) http://www.hd.net/concertseries.html Sun., Sep. 30th 9:00 PM ET Goo Goo Dolls - Live at Red Rocks - Starting as indie sensations and garnering wide spread commercial success in the 90's with "Name" and the number one blockbuster hit "Iris," the Goo Goo Dolls have become a staple of radio play with their trademark acoustic/electric guitar pop. The band gives a one-of-a-kind performance that include tracks from the triple platinum album Dizzy Up the Girl as well as their latest hit single from the Transformers soundtrack at the world famous Red Rocks Amphitheater in the rugged beauty of the Rocky Mountains. |

Title: Re: Sound Off With Matt Pinfield & Red Rocks s Post by Shannon on Sep 26th, 2007, 10:38pm Good news is....I'm getting a DVR tomorrow. I just have to figure out how to get the data from the DVR to the computer. |

Title: Re: Sound Off With Matt Pinfield & Red Rocks s Post by nmf016 on Sep 27th, 2007, 10:03am Dear Shannon, I love you. Love, Nicole (I honestly don't know too much about dvrs. Does your dvr have a dvd burner drive? Because that's probably the easiest way to get it to your computer. Otherwise, if you're getting it installed, ask the guy for the best way to get it to your computer, you might need an extra cable to get it directly from the dvr to the computer. Once you get it to the computer, you'll probaby need some sort of video software to break it up and shrink it to an internet-sharing friendly size.) |

Title: Re: Sound Off With Matt Pinfield & Red Rocks s Post by Shannon on Sep 27th, 2007, 10:54am I was going to ask you what to do....lol It's a DVR but it doesn't have a disk inside to burn it onto....that would be too easy. I did ask the tech guy how to get it onto the computer and he said you have to do it via USB port but he didn't know how. The directions show you how to set up the DVR to record to an outside source but it doesn't show me what to do beyond that. Anyone know? I need detailed instructions. I already have it programmed to record. |

Title: Re: Sound Off With Matt Pinfield & Red Rocks s Post by nmf016 on Sep 27th, 2007, 11:14am What's the brand and model number of your dvr? (What tech guy doesn't know how to use a dvr?) |

Title: Re: Sound Off With Matt Pinfield & Red Rocks s Post by Shannon on Sep 27th, 2007, 12:04pm He knows how to use a DVR. He showed me how to use all the settings. He's just never taken the data of the DVR and put it onto a computer. My DVR is a Dish ViP622. I was just reading some tech sites and someone suggested hooking up your camera in video mode and recording that way. There is a USB port on the back. I'll test it out and give it a try. That way I can record it in smaller segments as the memory card fills. Then I can try editing the segments together in iMovie. I may have to go out and get a bigger memory card. I imagine a 1g card will fill up fast. |

Title: Re: Sound Off With Matt Pinfield & Red Rocks s Post by nmf016 on Sep 27th, 2007, 12:53pm I assume the dvr is like a hard drive. I wonder if you could hook up a cable from the usb port to your computer's usb and transfer over the files. |
