I MISSED IT!

I went to a wedding last night and forgot to DV-R it! I woke up to it this morning, my mom was blaring it from in the living room.

I have it written down and I'm DV-R'ing it on Aug 5th at 4am.

No, I thik A&E are idiots for playing at 9am...unless they played it at a different time at night.

I thought it was failry good. They had "Before it's too late" and I love it. Unfortunately, not "let love in".

I kinda agree that Mike had a lot to do with them being successful. Not logically,but he was like a good luck charm. Maybe it was just getting rid of George and having anybody in.

I sometimes wonder what would have happened to the band if they had chosen a different drummer. I think Mike was absolutely perfect from what we see of the band. John and Robby are such huge personalities and I think they needed someone laid back who was dependable and content not to be the center of attention.

I liked the interview aside from the following points:

1. Host's hair. Make it shorter or get layers in the front. Or at least push it behind your shoulders. (I know, shallow, but I really do think her hair makes her look awful.)

2. I think John has memorized answers to some questions or he is a robot. I know the exact words he will use for some answers before he says them. The one I remember right now is John talking about his musical upbringing.

3. John, seriously, I adore you and I think you're probably a pretty smart guy, but please don't ever try to talk about quantum mechanics again. Take my word, it's for your own good.

I agree...the hosts hair is not flattering.

I never realized I had so much in common with John. His mom played the flute. I actually didn't know that. I played the flute for 7 years. I was also a social worker for 7 years. I guess 7 is the magic number. Anyways, we'd have tons to talk about....lol

I agree some of John's answers are identical to that of Behind the Music. I think these interviewers need to find more inventive questions.

I really wanted to be a 9 year flute player, but my teacher was a jerk and it was dragging down my GPA, so I had to quit. Actually, the only time I truly loved playing the flute was when I had a broken arm and used the rod for cleaning to itch under my cast. :D

LMAO. It's a good thing I wasn't drinking my coffee when I read this or I would have spit it out.

See now me....I loved playing. I miss it *sigh*. My daughter plays now so I'll pick hers up and play every now and again.

So am I the only one who has missed the show twice now? My VCR has decided it no longer wants to work...and I'm one of those non-dvr owners....you'd think I'd get off my butt and get one by now.

I ended up catching it thanks to my dad :woohoo: He saw the show on A&E coming up after something he was watching and set the DVR while I was out of town. I am pretty darn thankful my dad thought of me - it was totally a nice surprise!
