I'm doing a little survey to learn how you discovered the World of Goo?

I'm trying to see how many, if any, came from the main MFC forums.

I found the WOG when I did a GGD search. It took me to the main site and I found the board from there. It was the first Goo site I found along with FabFay.

I did a search for Goo Goo Dolls fan sites on google, and this was one of the first ones that came up.

Back when I was young and Naive, I used to go to every goo goo dolls site and save every picture of them, cause I thought I was the coolest fan in my area.

I actually landed upon the FabFay site and went into the Chat/Forum area and found WoG, so I figured, I'm such a big fan, I gotta sign up.

I was off and on for the past three years.
But I'm so glad I'm on again, I would've never met any of the great people I know today.

I think I just did a search on AOL, because it was before the time of Google. Anyways, it wasn't through MFC.

after I got to be a fan of the goo goo dolls about 2 years ago or so, I had just watched LiB (which is what got me hooked) I did a google search for Goo Goo Dolls, and the first site that came up I think was the main site and then found forum from there.......

I think I did a google search for the Goo Goo Dolls forums or something... I felt alone you see, because I don't know a single soul who listens to the Goos around here. They've heard Iris, if you're lucky, but that's all.

...So I guess that's how I found this site. Through google. And out of loneliness. �;)

Took me quite a while to join though, I've only been reading and observing for a looong time. Haha.

Well it's a bit of a long story. You see MFC aka Music Fan Clubs owns the site and board. The moderator for the Goo portion left the company about two years ago. Once that person left we lost all contact with anyone from MFC. Our login and passwords stopped working and no one could gain access to the main site and any and everyone from MFC disappeared. We have a new MFC now and he rocks. He's getting everything straightened out for me. We should have access to the main site very, very soon. So stay tuned!

It might have been a google search.. I think it was somehow through the Goo Goo Dolls Webring..

I don't remember. :-/ Back when I was just getting into the Goos, I did searches for goo fansites and remember going to the main WOG site and reading all the info, but I never checked the message board. It wasn't until about early 2005 when I found the Gooberz website and decided to join the message board. I think it was through that board that I found links to this board and the AG board and decided to join.

I found the main WOG site from some search engine about 10 years ago. I only checked main site until probably 5 years later where I found that the forum was where it was at. What's better than one person updating is countless ppl updating through the forum. I never check the main site again cuz most main site sucks anyways. Forums and communities are always better.

I also use to use Fabfay...somebody above mentioned it. That site was top notch back in the days.

Oh, I never go outside of this forum. I know that this forum is part of a larger organization...but I never bothered.

wog was the 1st link on a goo goo dolls search i did on yahoo.

once i found wog, i never went anywhere else.

I found WOG on a Google search. I don't think I have ever been to the main page of MFC.

Gosh, it's so long ago! I think I probably searched for it using AltaVista (my search engine of choice all those years before Google :P) and got to the WOG main webpage, I joined the Chat directory first then popped over to the mesageboard, where I lurked for some time. Like Shannon, WOG and FabFay were my two main Goo websites for a good few years up to about 2002.

But yeah, I didn't come through the MFC forums.

(And Pon, I'm pretty sure you've been on the messageboards longer than 5 years. I remember looking at them sometime in 2000, and you and JayV had these loooong conversations about random stuff. I could be wrong though, this was 7 years ago... :P)

I can't remember how I found it. I think I just found it in a search for goo sites. When I first started posting you didn't have to register. I used to post a lot and then a bunch of crap happened and I got banned and then the moderator had to reinstate me. Since then I just don't post much anymore on any board. Maybe once a week or something on AG that's about it.

I found WOG by lurking over my daughter's shoulder when she began posting here.
So I didn't use any search engine, nor MFC.
Just began by lurking, then eventually joined.

when i started to get into goo my friend would tell me about this place and how she would just nosy around....she was a creeper...probably still is...

and so when i got on...i signed up....and ya'll been stuck with me since

A few years ago, I saw the GOOs on TV. I decided to check out their official site, and found the WOG link on there.
