I think I'd want to hear the scrapped LLI songs, just out of total and complete morbid curiosity. I would really, really like to know what they picked the album tracks in favor of.

(Though option 3 is probably the one I would enjoy the most.)

Tough call between #2 and #3. I think I'd probably go with 2, because IYB, STSG, TMSIDK are actual songs at this point, whereas we don't know whether the scrapped material from DUTG were just ideas, maybe a chorus or a chord change, perhaps the scribblings of a few lyrics. I do have a curiosity about those 'songs', but given these choices, I'd go with #2.

I would go with #3....the only one of those choices the caught my curiosity concerning what the songs were that they cut.

I think I would be most curious about hearing #4 because that's the only one I know for sure exists. And I know they were considering putting Tuesday on the album, so it can't be that bad and I know the name of it so that makes me even more curious to hear what it sounds like. As for the others, I thought that John just wrote acoustic #3 short on purpose and there was never a longer version. If there was, I think they would have released that version on EOAC instead of extending the real version. I also like Acoustic #3 just how it is, short and sweet. I already know what In Your Blood, So The Story Goes, and Tell Me sound like, so I don't need to hear studio versions, and I'm sure they didn't make studio recordings of those anyway since they didn't release them. If John threw away any songs while writing DUTG, I'd be interested in hearing them, but I can't be sure if they exist.

Whenver I am asked what my favorite Goo Album, it could easily change. But I always go back to Dizzy Up The Girl. Not because of the hits, but I just love that album. It was my first GGD album, and some of my favorites are on there.

So any chance I could get to hear more from that era ... I would take. So I'd choose DUTG outtakes.

Great idea for a thread ... and I think posting a new What would YOU choose every Thursday would be fun!

I love �:love: that you're trying to breathe some spirit into the board. It's always slow when the guys don't tour so it's nice to have something fun to do or talk about.

I would choose #3. I too am curious about the scrapped DUTG songs.

I do like the new "what would you choose" every Thursday. I also like your other ideas as well. That's part of what makes this board so great!

I'll take #3 also. JR was writing some great songs in that period. I'd like to see what else he came up with at that point in his life.

I'm with ya Drew. I like the idea of #3 as well. I enjoy the original Ego, Opinion, Art and Commerce so much that a #2 would be awesome. They definitely have the catalog of music to pull it off too.

I would go with number 4, I always enjoy their acoustics, so I think it would be awesome if they did an album doing all acoustic versions of their songs and they would have to include an acoustic version of Truth is a Whisper (I love that song)...

2. Music videos on DVD ...all the videos that they did for songs from the beginning onward, so I'd have them all on one DVD instead of all over the place on a bunch of VHS tapes like I have now. So old skool.

I'll go with #2 also. I don't even have all the videos on tape, and those that I do are scattered here and there, on several different tapes with other things. I'd love to have them all in one spot, especially on DVD where I could just watch the one I wanted when I wanted.

I'd go for #2 as well. I've NEVER seen a Goo music video on TV, the only medium I have viewed them through is the PC screen and the quality isn't that great. Damn my UK-ness and my refusal to get cable or digital TV! ::)
So yeah, for me, I'd LOVE to have all the videos on high-quality DVD. And really, they should do it. Because they have some very cool videos, especially all their DUTG ones. They rocked big-time. ;D

I would choose heavy metal music with emo song titles just because they make me laugh. But I can't stand the whiny singing, so it's gotta be metal...but not like Dio, cuz that was obnoxious. Oh, nevermind...

I'd take #4. I could totally see a picture of a really cool old building the interesting architecture. With the right lighting at the right time of day it could be a really beautiful picture.

Ditto! Even crumbling architecture looks amazing in a black & white photo. Something about B&W makes it seem somber but insightful and achingly beautiful all at the same time.

And hey, there's tons of old, abandoned buildings in Buffalo to take your pick from. ::)
