The Goo Goo Dolls (CBS)

(CBS) The Goo Goo Dolls' latest single, "Let Love In," entered the Top 10 on Billboard's Hot Adult Contemporary chart this week, giving the band a record 12 Top 10 hits on the chart over the years.

The song is the title track from the band's current gold-certified eighth album. They visit the Second Cup Caf� to share songs from "Let Love In."

The trio formed in Buffalo, N.Y., in 1986 by singer/guitarist John Rzeznik and bassist Robby Takac. Their original sound fell somewhere between punk and metal, but in their 22-year career they've developed a more mainstream rock and adult-oriented sound.

Current drummer Mike Malinin began playing with the group in 1995 � the year the Goo Goo Dolls had their first No. 1 hit with the song "Name."

The group followed that up with 1998's "Iris" from its triple-platinum album "Dizzy Up Girl." The heartfelt, guitar-driven waltz held the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 Airplay chart for 18 weeks.

The band is currently on the road for its fall/winter tour, which finishes up at the Anaheim, Calif. House of Blues on New Year's Eve.

The "Let Love In" tour resumes in February.

I saw their performance on The Early Show. It was awesome, but I still don't like the sunglasses.

I don't even know if I get the Early Show...I probably do, but no idea what channel on Satelite.

I finally saw the performance. I love the new hair but the sunglasses definitely have to go. I read somewhere that John said he had lasik and that's part of the reason he needs the shades. Hopefully his eyes heal quickly so he can take them off. I hate it when I can't see people's eyes.

He said it was because of meds from dental surgery at one show, and at another he said it was because of lasik surgery.
