I was just checking the IM news and saw a bunch of board members names listed as winners. A big congratulations to ... GOOKAT, SupaGoo, DWG, and eheaps. Way to go everyone. I can't wait to hear all about it.

Yeah, I just found an e-mail telling me I won a M&G.
I predict my picture with them will come out really bad, like my driver's licence photo...or a mug shot or somethin'.
I seem to have a knack for such things. :P

Ah, yes...I fondly remember that one time I started a mooing cattle call at a Bon Jovi meet & greet. Richie laughed.

Please tell me more about the mooing. What was the scenario? Because if I was standing in line and the person next to me started mooing I would not join in, I would edge away slowly. :D

Okay, I will tell you the mooing story. Many, many years ago, in 1989 (remember I am very, very old), I attended a Backstage With Bon Jovi (this was before it morphed into Backstage With Jon Bon Jovi) fan club trip in New Jersey. There were something like 32 groups of 15 fans each (probably more, since we had about 600 fans on this trip), all set up to go into the meet & greet to have group photos taken with the band. So the band is behind this curtain. Each group of fans had to wait outside the curtain, place our personal items on a table, and wait until it was our turn to enter the room where the band was sitting to have our group pic taken. One by one, each group filed in, and the next group was "on deck" waiting to go in. Well, in my group were 3 other good friends of mine, and I have this sarcastic sense of humor that they understand, even if all I give is the most minute of clues. Anyway, by the time our group was "on deck" we were getting a little silly, as it began to feel very much like we were being herded like cattle, and I made the mooing sound from our area on the outside of the big blue curtain (why I remember the color of the curtain, I don't know...) A few others, probably my friends, began mooing too, and from the other side of the curtain we heard Richie let out this hilarious laugh. It was a funny moment.
Then we filed in behind the band, up on a set of bleachers. First they took a "funny shot" where the band made silly faces, then they took the "normal" group photo (if you could call any of us "normal" at that point.) After the photo was taken, we each made a beeline and spoke for a moment with our (pre-planned) favorite band member, since we were told we weren't supposed to spend time talking to them (yeah, sure...) and that's the story.
If I still belonged to that dang fan club ( I stopped being a member when they went "online"), I could get witnesses. Years later, I heard from others over on their message board who remembered the mooing incident.

So that meet & greet went well, but they had the worst seats reserved for the fan club members...all the way in the back of Giants Stadium. It's always something... ::)
But the concert was great: Bon Jovi, Skid Row, Sam Kinison, Billy Squier.

All exaggeration aside, it was probably 10 seconds for each... �:-/

DWG, that's an awesome story. I love it. And you are an internet celebrity if people still remember it. :D

And just because you said you were very very old, I'd like you to know that in 1989 I was 5. ;)
