Et tu, Goo Goo?

This region has long suffered the move of vast numbers of its young people to the greener pastures of the South and West.

Now, apparently, we're losing our celebrity rock stars, too.

First, an Associated Press article from April noted that Buffalo native Ani DiFranco permanently moved to New Orleans last summer.

Now, a recent piece in the Los Angeles Daily News points out that Goo Goo Doll Johnny Rzeznik has lived in Los Angeles for the past decade.

Rzeznik found it fruitful to return to his native Buffalo to record his latest album.

"But I don't know if I could live in Buffalo full-time again," he told the paper.

Who's next? Will lounge singer extraordinaire Lance Diamond and Elvis impersonator Terry Buchwald leave too?

Say it ain't so, Johnny.
