As you can see we have a new look here at the WOG. Along with a new look we need new banners. So I thought we'd have a banner contest. Send me your banners and I'll post them and everyone here can vote for the first new banner to be posted in YEARS!

So I need the banner size to be 620 X 150 pixels....the same size as the one that's up now. And, it would be nice to stick within the new color scheme. So get busy Goo peeps and show me what you can do ... I know it's alot better than what I can do.

I don't have any swag for the winner but you will get notoriety and credit on the page. ;D

Thanks. I'm glad you like it. I had to tweak it a bit since this morning. It was a fine line between the colors being too dark in some places and too light in others. And then it seemed a little dull so I added the darker red ... it's easier on the eyes than blaring red. It's been a work in progress all day ;D

Thanks. While it may seem a relatively simple thing to just change the colors it's really quite an undertaking. So I appreciate the compliment.

Hey Shannon...the place looks great....I like the new color theme. I was wondering when we were gonna get a new banner around here. The old one is awesome, but time for a change. You're doing a great job staying on top of it all. Congrats on your position here. I've been around, just havn't had the energy to post. I think its time I snap outta my funk.

Shannon I really like what you did to this board...seems like it gave a new life to a great board....I tried to make a banner but they did not come out looking very good.....

Thanks Shannon. I was really trying to breathe new life into this great board. When I first started posting on the WOG this board had the most hits of any board sponsored by MFC. I really hope people feel welcome to post here again.

thats a good way to keep the fuel on the fire....get 'em to hit here the way they used too.
I'm gonna give it a whirl (the banner thing) but not sure if I have enough time..... will see.
Have you gotten many submissions yet?
I was thinking we aughta have a new banner every 3 months to keep it fresh.
just a thought :)

I have had NO banner submissions so far. Come on Goo peeps! I know you're out there. If no one submits anything I will be forced to make a banner and although I can do pretty good I KNOW there's many of you out there who can do so much better than me.

The 30th is this Friday ... come on everyone.

I would definitely like to rotate the banner often. How often depends on how many submissions I get.

I got it and I think it looks fantastic.

I've gotten two banner submissions so far....and they're both great. I KNOW there's more creative Goo peeps out there.... come out, come out where ever you are.

I just got it and it's amazing! Another excellent banner. This board is going to look awesome with all the new banners rotating every couple of months or so.
