ok on my media player....a song popped in there that I don't know where I got it from and so today I listened to it and then decided that I must have downloaded from a site pertaining to the goo goo dolls however I don't remember the site and now I am questioning whether or not it really is a goo goo dolls song or a cover they did ....

anyways I was wondering if anyone knew if they did a song called Wait for the Blackout?

now my confusion comes in because in my media player says that its from the Damned...I don't know....

The GGDs did indeed record "Wait For the Blackout" -- but it's a cover, and the original song is by The Damned... hence the confusion.
If it sounds at all like John singing, you've got the Goo cover. It's legit. :)

[edit] And to answer the "where did it come from?" question, it was for the Tommy Boy soundtrack.

Yes, they did do "Wait For The Blackout". Not sure where you may be able to find it now though. I have it on a cd that I obtained through trading a few years ago....

cool thanks....I have the goo goo dolls cover of it..

I was a little confused even more because I listened to it and it sounded like the goo goo dolls but the album cover next to it was the damned and didn't mention the goo goo dolls....
