I just flipped through Blender at CVS to see if it had a review for Let Love In.

Not only did they give it only 1.5 stars, they gave a scathing insulting review.

"The music is like Rzeznik's hair, expensive and overly complicated" sticks out in my memory.

Also, in the section they have for all CDs, "Songs to download" it said NONE.

It may sound silly, but it really burned me up haha.

I would say that about 95% of all the magazines that are out in the stores, such as Blender magazine, are only good for a laugh...Plus that's just that persons opinion...not a very good opinion I think but an opinion nonetheless. I read those kind of magazines just to get a laugh.

They probably don't know what good music is though.

Yeah, in all fairness, when its at another band's expense I get a good laugh myself, so I hear what you're saying

it's much easier to find something negative to say than something positive. the fact they couldn't find anything good to say shows poor reviewing skills. there should always be a balance.

yeah, i gave up on that magazine when they had the 100 worst bands of all time and Goo was on the list. . .talk about raging anger!! :pissed: and i'll never forget, they had Live on the list as well (love them, too) and they called them, "a poor man's U2." GRRR! unto thee!!

i honestly don't pay that much attention to reviews of anything. like someone else said, it's only one person's opinion, everyone is entitled to one, doesn't mean i have to agree with it. that being said, "death to Blender magazine!" have a nice day. . . ;D

Okay, the Goos can't possibly even be one of the 100 worst bands of all time. There are probably thousands of really horrible bands out there that no one has even heard of because they suck. Someone at Blender obviously just doesn't like the Goos.

Blender is a spin off of FHM. I find it hard to consider the opinions of any writer for any magazine that consists mostly of girls wearing next to no clothes.

I wouldn't lose sleep over this if I were you...
