Saw this over on AG and thought I'd bring it over here as well. From what I was reading over there, things seem like they haven't been completely confirmed yet....

I'm not really going to get too excited until either band actually comes out and says something, but...

I'd much rather the Goos played with a lesser known band like one of Robby's GC bands so that ticket prices weren't jacked up (esp for a band I don't particularly like) and so that we wouldn't have to compete for tickets with another larger fanbase. I also think that since the Goos and the Counting Crows both had their biggest hits in the 90s, the tour will be viewed negatively and called a sort of "old washed up bands tour" by critics (Note: I don't agree with that sentiment, so do not mail me bombs) . Plus, there's been commotion about which band would be the headliner and if it turned out that CC was the headliner, I would be really really disappointed.

"The Goo Goo Dolls will join with Counting Crows for a summer tour this year. The Goos will be supporting their new album, Let Love In, which is due out April 25th. Counting Crows have been working on a new album which is expected to be released in the late spring or early summer. There's no word yet on when the tour will start, but the Goos are expected to be in the closing spot each night.

The Goos also plan to play some small-venue headline dates in April and May to promote the release of Let Love In. "

That's an excerpt from one of the articles. It says the Goos are going to be closing each night, I like the sound of that. :)

ugh.

i hate the counting crows. tour yay the nes that its counting crows just made me sigh.
