Title: Number of songs on 'Let Love In'. Post by LazyEye on Mar 4th, 2006, 6:31am I gotta tell you, if there are 'only' 11 songs on 'Let Love In', and two of them are 'Better Days' and 'Give A Little Bit' (as someone here on the board has suggested) I will be disappointed... That means only 9 new songs.... If, and I say if cuz I don't think this will happen, then the Goo's should put 1 or 2 b-sides on their singles with songs that we haven't heard before. (Take Oasis for example. What they do is very cool for their fans. You get your money worth with every single they put out. They always have 2 or 3 songs for b-sides that are new for their audiences.) We need more of the 'Nothing Can Change You' caliber! New songs that are 'not quite up there as album material', but very cool still and not rip-off's from earlier albums... ;) But I have faith in the band that they will give us our moneys worth! ;D |

Title: Re: Number of songs on 'Let Love In'. Post by ShanGooFan on Mar 4th, 2006, 10:32am You never know....they could always surprise us with a hidden track too. I know alot of bands that do that and it's a pretty cool suprise to find. |

Title: Re: Number of songs on 'Let Love In'. Post by carlyn on Mar 4th, 2006, 10:58am I think in the article, when they wrote GALB, they really meant to write Better Days. I don't know why they would put GALB on the album when it is already on LIB. They have never repeated the same songs on different albums before (except for EOAC and LIB) and I don't know why they would start. That would be really cool if they put motre songs on the singles and/ or had a hidden track, though! |

Title: Re: Number of songs on 'Let Love In'. Post by nmf016 on Mar 4th, 2006, 11:34am No reliable source (like the Goos) have said how many tracks there are on the new record. It was just one article, so right now I'd say that we don't even know how many songs there are. Like carlyn said, I think (and hope) GALB was a typo and that it's really just Better Days. If there are only 11 tracks I can't say I won't be a little disappointed. 11 tracks after four long long years (especially long for me as I spent them all in the college experience from hell) is pretty low. But, in their defense, I just looked at 6 cds sitting in front of me. 1 has 14 songs, 3 have 12, 1 has 11, and 1 has 9 (8 and a remake of a previous song, big fans of that particular band has to wait almost 4 years as well). So 11 tracks really isn't too unreasonable in comparison with others, even if we think it is... |

Title: Re: Number of songs on 'Let Love In'. Post by carlyn on Mar 4th, 2006, 6:01pm If they have a hidden track on Let Love In, it won't be Better Days. They are putting it on the album because it did well and they think it will help sell cds. If Better Days is "hidden," then Let Love In will probably sell less copies. I read that there were going to be 11 tracks on LLI in two different articles. |
