Title: SAM'S CLUB PRIVATE CONCERT Post by TruexBlue on Feb 17th, 2006, 11:10am Hey Guys- Don't know if this was posted yet. Joining Sams Club: More than 3,000 Sams Club faithful gathered at Municipal Auditorium Tuesday to attend an exclusive, private concert by the Goo Goo Dolls. A glimpse about the arena at the mainstream-looking crowd revealed that this was not your typical Goo Goo Dolls fan conflab. Down to the blowing of those giant plastic trumpets you see at outdoor sporting events. I like the horns, joked lead singer/guitarist Johnny Rzeznik. I want to hear some horns. You guys, go! Rocking out before thousands of mass-merchant retailers yielded a tempting opportunity to plug the new Goo Goo Dolls CD due out in April. I expect all of you guys to go over to Sams Club and buy a case of our CDs, Rzeznik advised. Three hundred to a case. Lidia, who? So just how impressed was Queen of Mean comic Lisa Lampanelli at being on KSHB-TVs weekday show Kansas City Live alongside famed restaurateur Lidia Bastianich: Whos Lidia? Lampanelli responded when I asked her the next night. Who cares? If she dont cook greasy, fat food I have no (use) for her. http://www.kansascity.com/mld/kansascity/living/13889145.htm Rock on! :jammin: |
