Title: free dvd Post by nmf016 on Feb 5th, 2006, 3:08pm I have an extra dvd from a burning experiment. It has all of the Goo videos on it up until now. First person to reply that they want it gets it. Only rules: - Can't sell it or copies of it. You're free to give away as many copies as you want. - Please don't respond if you already have all the videos. I'd really like for it to go to someone that hasn't seen the videos or can't download easily from the video thread. |

Title: Re: free dvd Post by ShanGooFan on Feb 5th, 2006, 7:26pm Nicole, I have a question for you. Does your computer come with a DVD burner or did you have to buy an external one? My computer doesn't have a DVD burner and I'm considering buying one so I was just curious since I know you've been burning alot of DVDs lately. If you do have an external burner what kind do you have? |

Title: Re: free dvd Post by nmf016 on Feb 5th, 2006, 8:30pm My computer didn't come with a dvd player or burner. I got a TDK internal dvd burner and installed it myself. An internal burner in considerably cheaper than an external burner and it's pretty easy to install. You just open the computer casing, slide out the old drive, slide in the new one and plug some cables in. (They come with directions) However, if you work with more than one computer, it would probably be worth it to buy an external burner. At the time I got mine, I only had one computer. Now I have two and never seem to have the burner in the right computer. ::) Whatever you decide to do, make sure to check out the software that comes with the burner. Mine had Roxio software, which never seemed to do quite what I wanted it to, so for a while I rarely used my burner for anything other than copying dvds (legal ones) or burning iso video bootlegs. I recently got Nero software which does more that I could have even imagined and now I'm using my burner to make all sorts of crazy things. Hope that helped. If you have more questions, you know how to reach me. :D |

Or, you can get a dvd burner put into your computer... might take a couple of days depending on the computer store, instead of buying an external one. |

You're welcome. I'm just happy I could pass it along. Does your family enjoy watching Goo, or do you just force them to? If it was by force, tell them I'm sorry. :D My parents have, over the years, trained themselves to call me when they see the Goos on tv or hear something about them, but I think they'd get distracted pretty easily if I tried to make them watch more than about 10 minutes. |
