Just say what you think -
I think the band that sounds the most like goo would have to be either aerosmith or silverchair (certain songs) . But still, those bands are far off ! No one sounds like the goo's but i think these two are the closest...

Yesterday, I was at school and the teacher turned on the radio and Better Days was on. At first, before I realized what the song was, I thought it was Aerosmith. But I don't think they sound alike.

lol - I read the topic too quickly thinking it said,

"Which bands like the Goo Goo Dolls the most"

I was going to say Sugar Ray for that question, but for who sounds like them? no idea.

I heard "the replacements" sing their song "alex chilton" and it really sounded like John in the early goo days.

I'll agree w/PMB. But Pat's voice is no where near what John's sounds like. But maybe that's why they're both my favorite bands. :P

Lifehouse, The Calling, Gin Blossoms

The Goos used to have a similar sound to the Replacements in their early and mid-career albums but that ended with DUTG. I think way too much has been given to this comparison.

I have heard people "confuse" the Goos with BOTH bands...

I would consider Matchbox Twenty the same genre as the Goo Goo Dolls, but they definitely have different styles and don't sound anything alike.
