VH1 Presents 'The Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash' Premiering Saturday, February 4th At 10:00 PM

NEW YORK, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- VH1, Pepsi and the NFL have joined forces to bring the worlds of football and music together with "The Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash" taking place in the host city of Detroit. The one-hour concert will pay tribute to the All-American sport of football and its 40th Super Bowl with performances by Nickelback, the Goo Goo Dolls, and Train, among other special guest appearances.
Hosted by Holly Robinson Peete (UPN's Love Inc.) and Jim Breuer (Saturday Night Live), "The Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash" will also feature appearances by NFL superstars Braylon Edwards (Cleveland), Tony Gonzalez (Kansas City), Willie McGinnest (New England), Takeo Spikes (Buffalo) and Mike Strahan (NY Giants).

"The Pepsi Smash Super Bowl Bash" will be taped at the State Theater in Detroit on Thursday, February 2nd and will air on VH1 on Saturday, February 4th at 10PM.* In addition to performances from the on-air show, exclusive performances from all three bands will be available on VSPOT, VH1's broadband network at http://vspot.vh1.com. The Saturday broadcast also will be streamed live on http://www.superbowl.com.

And this article made me realize Tom Calderone, former Buffalonian, switched over from MTV to VH1 last year, meaning we will most likely never see the Goos on MTV ever again...  :(

oh, and i only see 3 different guitars for john.  i hope they played more than 3 songs.
