We did this with Gutterflower, how about we do it again with this one. What would be your ideas for the cd cover artwork?

Hi PattyGoo! If I wasn't technologically inept, I'd try to do some kind of artwork on my computer, lol. But I had this idea about a phoenix, just because the phoenix is such a powerful symbol that stands for rebirth--physical, spiritual, etc. and it would connect with the idea of hoping for "better days" or a better world, and the constant evolution of the Goos and their music. There's this great link that explains the symbolic significance of the phoenix in different cultures and myths:

Plus, the phoenix is related to immortality (the lasting legacy of the Goos, anyone? :D ) and part of the phoenix myth apparently is that it sang so beautifully that even the sun god stopped to listen. I'd like to think that that's what the Goos do too :love:

Here's my idea. Some might find it a bit cliche.

I think it should stay with the sepia tones of the Better Days single art, but be a beat up old doorway in a beat up old building that looks like it's opening into an apartment/office, but instead a beacon of light is eminating from inside. The title of the album should be stacked on top of each other on the left and The Goo Goo Dolls should run across the bottom.

Let the love in/out people!

Getting SO excited. It could be a totally black cover with nothin' on it and that would be fine with me.

I got nothin'.
...except for this bizarre vision where there's this bouncer standing at the back door to some venue. Courtney Love is standing outside, trying her best to get in. The bouncer calls the band inside to get advisement, and the answer comes back on the walkie-talkie:
"Let Love in."

Ok here is my idea for some strange reason:

Like, a view from a little boys eyes sitting on a couch hold them same CD, and on that CD the same CD. You can see the couch, and the boys arms and legs. thats just me.

OR

Im thinking something rough, with let love in written in cool letters with like a picture of a crying girl crying on a wall with her arms spread out, a close up seeing just her waist up.

thats just me, i could care less too.
