I think we should have a seperate board/section for the birthdays..No offense, but theres like 20 birthday wishes drowing out some of the topics on the front page..just a suggestion though..

I think the birthdays are on the main page because that's where there is the biggest chance that that person will see their happy birthday message. The only time they really bump messages off the front page is when someone goes back and posts on birthday threads from the last week or so (not pointing fingers, because I think it's totally fine to do).

I've considered this issue in the past but my fear is if we have a separate section that no one will go there.

Today was an unusual day where there were 4 birthdays plus someone bumped up a bunch of old ones like nmf said. There usually aren't this many b-day threads on here. It really vascilates from week to week.

I agree, i think we should have a b-day board, Eva or someone could post it on the main site that there is a b-day board and that's where you go to wish someone happy birthday.

i like it on the main page...its easier to see, find, and remember.

Shannon- Thanks for taking on the Birthday List project and having them posted first thing in the morning. �I think it should stay on the front page as well- Not like the topics are that thrilling right now- how many times does it have to be posted that a Goo song was heard at Wally's, in a restaurant, on your IPod while taking your dog for a walk, in between classes, etc. �I find those postings more annoying than wishing people happy birthday.

Aw Trip -

Don't tell me you don't feel the goo joy everytime you hear them in public...Maybe there are just too many "inside thoughts" being shared. I kind of agree, but just am glad that there is SOMETHING being posted. This board is kind of dead right now...we all seem to be grasping at ANYTHING anticipating the new CD or anything really Goo-exciting.

it appears that many people jsut have more birthdays around this time... it should be ok, but when we get more members, we might have to...

coincidence about christmas/holiday period, and most birthdays in the early new year? :P :P :P :P :P

Reminds me of something. �I used to have a New Year's party every year where several families would stay for the weekend. �Well one year in October one of those friends had a baby and called him their 'New Year's baby', saying that they got pregnant at my New Year's party. �Then the very next year, the same thing happened! �They have 2 kids a year apart and place the blame on my parties. �;D
By the way, they stayed in one of my daughter's rooms on those weekends, and they still tease her about it happening in her bed.
