The record was completed on the Dec. 30th!!! :claps:

But it won't be out until APRIL :cry:

At the new year's eve show john said the album will be out in April.

OK...so you got it straight from John's mouth then. I'm a little bummed by that. Was really hoping for that February release date. Oh well...we've waited this long I guess a few more month won't kill me...will it?

LOL remember that guy's story from this week about how he saw john and john *pinky swore* that the album would be out in january? not to mention how john gave him some exlusive tracks and his cell # but thats a whole other subject...

Well, if they're done recording and mixing, then maybe there are still printing/pressing issues that take time to resolve. Maybe promotion work for the album hasn't gotten solidified . . . I bet it's mainly promotional work that takes a huge chunk of time to line up to get the word out to radio, T.V., magazines, all sorts of media. I doubt it will only be released in the U.S. either.

But this is just my guess. I'm no expert.

Agh darnit! :-/ And here I've been talking it up to anyone who'll listen over the festive period (which means about 2 hardy souls who couldn't escape me ;D ) about the new album coming out February. Sigh. I guess it's hardly a surprise, really.... and there's a strange synchronicity with Gutterflower and its delays and final release date here too, I guess. :P

yes theoretically the album is done... the actual studio work that the band participates in, mixing and fixing... now it's in post-production... art-work needs to be done, a title has only existed for about 2 weeks, they have to get press releases and promo materials produced... that is a couple of months worth of stuff right there...
I think they wrapped up Gutterfower in Dec as well and it was released in April too...
it's all GOOd...

oh yeah, and the single for Better Days... LOL... is a two track single.. it has the album version of Better Days (the radio version we're hearing) and the accoustic version which is available on Itunes...
the promo single has just the radio version...

and what would be cool to have o the new cd, as I believe it's been said they decided to include it, would be the absolutely ROCKING version of BD they did on NYE...
but any version would be swell...

as for the release, i'm not gonna expect anything from now on. it's ridiculous. ::)
