Title: HOB dining pre show
Post by jackie on Dec 22nd, 2005, 11:52pm
Hey everyone,
Don't know if everyone remembers, but 9/11/03 a group of us met at the HOB on sunset strip prior to the GOO show and was able to get into line before anyone else... Anyways, I live in Vegas and the HOB restaurant stated that they would only take reservations NYE for 10 or more.  If you dine, you get to go to a different line and go into the hall 15 minutes before they open the door for everyone else.  Long story short - would anyone like to meet up and go to dinner??????

Just a warning...two years ago the 'pass the line' thing didn't work at all. HOB was very disorganized, I don't think they realized how faithful the Goo fans are. Those of us who did eat at HOB that day still had to get in line and stay there for 9+ hours if we wanted to get up front. Good Luck and have fun!

I tried to make reservations back in Nov and couldn't..now I know why!  I would like to meet and have dinner (me and hubby).  I know at the HOB in L.A where the Goos played this past Oct., they let the people that ate their in first. Hopefully, it will be the same in Vegas.....the thought of standing in line 9 hours...ugh!!  I am soooooooooe excited!! :D

If the pass the line thing works the same way in Vegas as it does in Orlando, you can also go into the HOB store and purchase $20 worth of merchandise to be eligible for pass the line benefits.  I would check it out there first, but I know that's how the Orlando one works.  And from what I've seen, pass the line doesn't always guarantee you a good spot anyway.  Case in point: this past October I went up to Orlando to see the Pat McGee Band open for Hanson, so you can imagine how crazy things were there.  The pass the line section of the line was wrapped around the building, making the regular line even longer.  Long story short, I still managed to get up to 4th row on the floor in spite of being in the back of the regular line.  It all depends on where people wind up standing when you get there.

Hope you all have a blast in Vegas!!
