Just a reminder.

Radio Music Awards - NBC 9-11 eastern - the Goo Goo Dolls are nominated for Adult Hit Radio Artist of the Year and Song of the Year "Give a Little Bit".

  -Also check your local radio stations.  There is a radio convention for the RMAs and GGD may be doing interviews there during Monday (from It's All Goo)

A Home for the Holidays - CBS 8 eastern - performing "Better Days"

NO WAY!!!! I couldn't be happier. Keith Urban is performing tonight too. I'll be getting the best of both worlds...my two absolute favorites performing in one show.  AAAHHHHH....and my VCR doesn't tape right now...DAMN!!!!!!

If worse comes to worse, I'll send you one of 3 copies I'll be making. :D I've got the vcr and dvd-r set at home and will have the vcr at school recording while I'm cramming for a pchem exam tonight. �(Something tells me this is obsessive, but I don't care)



And I like how we're all excited, but the only reason we get a Goo performance tonight is because two completely unrelated people got admitted to hospitals.

Yeah we bought a big screen tv a couple months ago and the tv, vcr and satellite are all hooked up differently. I can't tape anything right now and I don't have a DVR yet. I'm in a pickle so I really appreciate it Nicole. I can't miss recording my two favs  ;D

Wahhhhhhhhhhhh! :cry: :cry: :cry:  It's worse than I imagined. BOTH my VCR and DVD didn't record. Please, please, pleeeeeeeeeease help me out, too!   :bigcry:

Evidently I need to so some major homework on this. I hate satellite!  :pissed:

Assuming that I successfully recorded the show on my good cable connection (most likely did, but won't know until I get home Thursday) I'll send you a copy.  I'll throw on the Home For the Holidays performance too.

Okay, now I get to go watch the show as a reward for 5 hours of productive p-chem studying!

Ohhhh they were so great! They perfomed Better Days and they won an award for Artist of the Year - Adult Hit Radio. Oh my gosh; they were up against 3 Doors Down, Kelly Clarkson, Green Day, Avril Lavigne, Maroon 5, and U2. I thought for sure U2 or Green Day would get it. I almost cried when they won; I was so happy. John looked so surprised. The announcer said it was their first RMA, but I could have sworn they won for Iris a few years ago.

Anyway, here's what John said in the acceptance speech: �;D ;D

"Well, um, wow! Who'da thought with all those people that we would actually pull it off? Thank you so much! Um, I just wanna say thank you to everybody that's stuck by our band at radio for over ten years now. You've kept our band alive and even when we didn't sell a lot of records you guys believed in us and still played us, and we've been through a lot of different trends in music and uh, we're still standing and it's all cause of you guys. Thank you so much!"

Clearly I have nothing more important to do today than pause, rewind, pause rewind, to make sure I got all the speech but it was so great!! �:D

The RMAs are being rebroadcast right now on Bravo.  You have a second chance if you see this in time.  ;D
