Title: Tree Lighting ceremony w/ no Goo?
Post by nmf016 on Nov 21st, 2005, 11:30am
I just found this article.  It says the Goos' performance will only be aired on an NYC station before the actual national broadcast.

Prior to the airing of the network special, WNBC, NBC's New York flagship station, will broadcast an additional live hour of the special (7-8:00 p.m. ET). Performances exclusive to the limited-market telecast include Goo Goo Dolls and Il Divo. WNBC has been the home to the Rockefeller Center tree lighting, working with co-owner of Rockefeller Center, Tishman Speyer.

Someone tell me who who should write a long email of "Boooooooooooooooooooooooooooo" to.

Well, during the Ellen show today there was a commercial for "Christmas at Rockefeller Center" and the Goos were mentioned in the commercial as performing. The show begins at 7 so I don't know what that article was talking about.

The show doesn't start for everyone at 7.  In Buffalo, the show starts at 8 and only lasts one hour.  I checked it out after I found that article.

Just cross your fingers, toes and eyes people.  I'm liking seeing so much goo exposure on the ol' TV!  More!  More!  More!

Hi guys :) Before the network special on nbc the Goos will perform. The performance will only air in the WNBC, NBC's New York station.
Only the local NBC station. The Goos will not be on the national special. Also, the Goos performance will be on the historic Top of the Rock observation deck and a rooftop overlooking the tree. Keep that in mind if you are planning on attending. The audience is not permitted up there.

Well I guess you can count me out then... I'm not gonna drive all the way from MAine down to NYC, to see them play one song from a freakin rooftop..... I'll watch it via the web.
