Hey all! .... IT'S BEEN A L O N G T I M E!!!
I've been here, just havn't been posting. Not much to talk about, but I'm BACK.... I saw this over at Robin site and thought I should share, she just posted it today.
The really cool thing is they will have high definition streaming video, so don't forget to save the link at the bottom to your favs and mark your calendars!!!!

Star-Studded Christmas Celebration To Air Nov. 30NBC continues a holiday tradition with its live telecast of the 73rd celebration of the world's most famous Christmas tree in "Christmas In Rockefeller Center," a star-studded two-hour special from New York. The show, broadcast on Wednesday, Nov. 30 (7-9 p.m. ET), will be hosted by Al Roker of "Today" and Megan Mullally of "Will and Grace."The popular musical lineup for the special will include a mix of current hits and holiday favorites performed by Rod Stewart, Sheryl Crow, Carrie Underwood, Brian Wilson, Earth Wind and Fire, the Goo Goo Dolls, Il Divo, the Brian Setzer Orchestra and Regis Philbin.This year's show will be a fundraiser for "Toys for Tots," to help buy toys for the children affected by the hurricanes, so they can enjoy a Christmas that they may otherwise not have.Harry Connick Jr. will be on hand to help light this year's tree with children whose lives have been disrupted by the storms in the Gulf states.The telecast will be in high definition. I think I may go.... Hubby's practically kickin me in the ass out the door! I NEED A Little Goo to get me in the spirit of things!
My mother lives 10 mins from the train right outside of New Haven Ct. I can be at Rockefellar in 45 mins to an hr from her house.... YIPPIE!

Have a great time! I work right by Rockefeller Center, but I'm staying away. That place is always a zoo when they light the tree. :(
My sis won tickets from WPLJ for a private Goo Goo Dolls Concert that's going down at the Hard Rock Cafe so I'll be there on Thursday-can't wait! :nanner:

Hope everyone who's going has a great time! It may rain, but it should at least be fairly warm.

**And now, shameless request time**

The Goos' performance most likely isn't going to be shown on tv for everyone (according to some article, the Goos will play during the first hour). So check your nbc affiliate's website. If your local nbc schedule for 11/30 has a two hour block for the Rockefeller Center Tree Lighting (eastern time 7pm to 9pm), then that channel will air the Goos' performance.

If you get the Goos' perfomance please please please tape it so that it can get passed around to the rest of the people who want to see it, as it's not being aired in most cities. If you tape it and would be kind enough to send it to me, I'd be happy to start a 'weed' to send copies (dvd or vhs) out to everyone. In return, I'll send you a bootleg or a dvd of pretty much whatever Goo tv appearance, etc that you'd like.

Its 7:50 now and they still havn't mentioned goo goo dolls to perform and still a few acts in front of them. I think all us goo fan's that only get the hr telecast will get to see them.

I just turned on the 8pm telecast. They announced performances coming up by the Goo Goo Dolls. It looks like they're going to show them.

yup they just showed them and they were on in NY and here in oklahoma. i had it on the NY channel and 2 people called that I know to tell me that it was on.

AHHHHH ( breaths sigh of goo relief) no punn intended!
My hubby thought I was totally corney I was sittin right in front of tv waiting for it to come on. I even had my digital in hand to take a couple shots. They came out crappy but heres one for those of you who didn't get to be grace by John hottness ! hope it works!
