Uh...

Don't get me wrong, I've been a Gooaholic since 1998... but um...  WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?? lol.  The song was OK... but it's not quite what I was expecting  :-/  I was hoping they'd go a little harder this time.  "Gutterflower" was nice and dark... but this... this... THIS... is too soft  :'(  Man, I hope this is a "Name" type of album where you get the one soft song and everything else is hardcore lol.

Just my opinion of course  :P

Got it all wrong bud, this song is most likley not going to be on their new cd.  Its for target/nbc cd.  If it does well they might put it on the new cd, but its not the first and new single that will be on their current album.  As far as it being to soft......Well we all have our own tastes but its not 1989 anymore and there not the Goo Goo Dolls of age 25, they are in the 40's and as their tastes change so do there fans, atleast I know im not into headbangin music like i was in my teens.

Please do not take this the wrong way but, I mean, it is a Christmas song and well, not everybody on this board believes in Christianity. If you're just not into Christmas, that's probably why. A lot of people were disappointed, so don't feel bad about saying so. I wasn't too impressed with Give A Little Bit when I first heard it but it grew on me and when I saw the video for the first time, I loved it. Maybe it'll grow on you. I know they will come out with a little something everyone can enjoy on the new album!  :-*

DWG!  Hey there! :D  I haven't been on because I keep forgetting lol.

And hardcore music rocks! lol.  Of course, my definition of "hardcore" also includes acts such as Led Zeppelin, The Who, The Rolling Stones, etc. XD

mchaps - Sometimes they put promotional songs on their albums (i.e. "Iris," and "Ain't That Unusual")... and well, technically it IS a single right now since it seems to be in rotation lol.  And hey, Ozzy may be older than the Goos, but he's still kicking it to the max with a punch of hardcore  8)  So I wouldn't exactly use the same generalization with the Goos.  But that's just me  :)

Sassy - I don't feel bad about speaking my mind, it's just that some people tend to get really touchy  :o  "Give a Little Bit" wasn't so bad since after all, they were doing a cover of it and one must not slaughter the classics  ::cough Korn and "Another Brick in the Wall" and 311 and "Love Song" COUGH::

I agree with that wholeheartedly.

And hey, sorry about the bunny, your_mom. I just went to put him in my siggie, and I guess the pirate had other ideas. Looks like bunny went through the VeggeMatic. I couldn't get him to show up in one piece with Pirate being there too. World domination, pirate style.  :dunno:

Check me if I'm wrong, but how can the new album be titled "Better Days" if the song isn't on it?  Maybe it won't be on the album and it's just the CD title the industry has to go with right now?  Hmm.  Don't really care I guess.  Personally I think that the "acoustic" version should be on the new CD to just have a different recording on there... Just thinkin!

I also hope that there is some more rockin' on the new CD.  I can't exactly pace my daily jog to "Better Days" like I can some of the harder stuff.  I am no spring chicken myself and tend to lean towards more acoustic and ballad-y music, but it doesn't mean that the harder stuff isn't mixed in there too!  I don't think the ol' boys will let us down <<crossing fingers>>.

On some sites they list the song and then the name of the album butt they don't have one out yet so they are just putting Better Days!!!  Like on Alternative Addiction the put the album name as Better Days!! I guess that's what they are doing but they have done that before with other groups!!!

I don't have cable so I can't watch the countdown show on vh1, but I have been voting for it.  I think I spent about an hour or two there voting.  I am sure the video will get on the countdown sooner or later (hopefully sooner rather than later thought).

I'm sorry!  I am SO not hostile.  I'll try to use them more sparingly.  I'll have to try and find some other way of expressing excitement, like a dancin' banana or something.  How's that! Oops, just typed one again...too bad they don't have a nicorette type weaning drug to get me off the exclamation point.  One day at a time I guess.  Hee Hee. ;)

I definatly agree i mean i love BD it's an awseome beautiful song that i can't get out of my head but it's totaly not Iris!
