I don't mean to be negative...but did anybody kinda got a negative vibe seeing John, a grown man with a lil bunch of lil boys in the woods? Seriously, I thought it looked really freaky and scary.

I don't see it as freaky the way you did, but I am afraid of little kids, so I had my own reasons to be creeped out.  :-/

However, the close ups of the band are all really cool and I like the way John looks when he's walking at the end.  And the colors are pretty.

I think the video is very beautiful...but really dark and scary and John looks kinda evil. I was expecting this video to be really bright, Christian, and godly. I was expecting snow or something...hehe. John looked like he was up to no good at the end...hehe.

Oh yeah, I kinda sense a Peter Pan thingy...all those lost boys and John is like Robin Williams back to Neverland. Then I think Peter Pan...Michael Jackson..hehe.

My question is...John is going up to all those boys....then the video ends leaving you wondering what did he go to those boys for? Was he gonna give them a speech about how they gonna go after Captain Hook?

I think you completely missed the point! That little blonde haired boy (the one John walks up to at the end of the video) I think was supposed to be him as a child.
I haven't really interpreted the concept but my first guess is a bunch of orphan kids. Why would you think about Michael Jackson, Peter Pan? I really do not think they're like that. They love kids just not like that. :-*
But I love the video!!!!!!!!!!I think it's great. ;D

EXACTLY!! Reclaiming your inner child.  Renewing your "faith and trust and peace while we're alive...."..like when we were children.

I think it's the idea that we abandon those ideals and if we didn't....if we kept them alive with prayer and faith and hope and love...that we could ALL save the world.

And him facing the child is him reclaiming that....."and tonight's the night the world begins again..."

That's how I see it....I love the far away shot of the forest with the bright lights sparking.

That's a very subtle point.

Well, I think John looks kinda like a pirate with that outfit and he's with a bunch of lil boys...Peter Pan and the lost boys.....Peter Pan...Michael Jackson.

What can a grown man be doing in the forest with a a bunch of lil boys? I don't think any of us would want out kids to hang with a grown man in the middle of the forest at night.

This is a perception that ppl perceieve.

maybe if you saw the whole thing from the perspective of the boy, it appears to be more of a "glimpse" into his future - kinda like hope, for what appears to be, a child that is lost.

I hadn't even thought about it that way. I saw it as John was looking back at his youth and saying the children are our future. (Teach them well and let them lead the way, blah, blah, blah.)

The video is just "nice" for lack of a better word.  Who needs anything other than "nice" in the world today.  Don't read too much into the "weird kid thing".  My mind didn't even go there and am disappointed that our society these days makes us even think that way.  Hope, faith, love, peace.  It's what it's all about people!  It's why we're all here on this message board!  Come on...there was so much Johnny face time...how could anything be wrong with that!  MMMM....just SO hot.

I liked the song and I sort of thought it was gonna be like a bunch of kids hanging around a Christmas tree or something and I kinda thought the video was a bit dark for the song but whatever.

Well said Suzie I agree... I havn't been posting much lately but couldn't walk away from this one. Pon....you need to regroup and think the lyrics through! ANYONE who you think would percieve the video that way would need serious bitch slapping! If they can't put the imagery with the lyrics then they shouldn't even be listening to music!
