i was on my way to school this morning when my sister called me. i ride with another girl and she has no radio, so we have to make conversation the whole way. *sigh* she said that Randy Jackson (from American Idol) was on STAR 107.3 in KY. he was talking about all the people that come in sounding like someone else. he said they needed someone unique. they don't want someone coming in trying to "sound like the guy from the Goo Goo Dolls!" she was so happy that she heard it and not me and just had to rub it in! that's sisters for ya. . . ;D

that is cool,but did Randy mean that as an insult?He said"We don't need someone trying to sound like the guy from the GGD"just curious,cuz if that's how he meant it and he was within arms reach I'd let him have it.

I don't think it's an insult. Jeez, Randy Jackson was in Journey for cryin' out loud. What better voice to imitate than John, and maybe he's saying that nobody else can do it but John!

naw guys, he didn't mean it as an insult. that was one of the first things i asked, "did he mean it mean?" and tiff said no, he just meant it as stop copying other artists. . . ;D
