I don't know what inspired it, but I think the war in Iraq may inspire it more than the Tsunami. Not saying the Iraq War, but saying Iraq more than Tsunami.

U have to keep in mind about the part where he sings "stop this endless fight" or something.

To me, I think maybe John got religious and singing a general Christian song.

It's a Christmas sing,so it will revolve around Christianity,a little anyway.I mean isn't that the holday Christians believe in?i think. But I see what your saying,it not a Christian rock song,i just thought I might add that.

Both of John's parents were Polish in Buffalo.  Can't help but have Catholosism shoved down your throat in that situation.  His parent's generation was just raised that way and raised their kids that way.  I'm of Italian and Polish decent, have parents John's parent's age (or would have been) and feel some of the pull he probably felt.  Oh, the Catholic guilt...

I think that the song is spiritual, not soley religious or "Christian".  My interpretation is that it's about just doing the right thing and secondarily, hoping that there is some divine intervention in the times of crisis we've endured over the past year...be it Katrina, the Tsunami, Iraq or this evening Rita.

It's all about just doing the right thing people.  You get what you give. :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

I haven't notice that they were in past projects. Nobody ever said they were..but I promise u that DJS and hosts and reporters will mention this song being Christmas, Christian, or religious. I don't think that has ever happened before.

But that song was in Treasure planet and more likely to be about the boy singing about the pirate guy. That pirate guy helped him be who he is and when the pirate left, the boy sees the pirate through the man that the boy has become.

The way u are saying it is very vague that one say that that any song is about god. I can say"Dizzy" is bout god..how contradicting god is.

The point is, they never made any songs before that was so obvious about a religion or holiday. If it's not about Christianity or Christmas...it's
