I thought they looked and sounded great!  I watched the whole show and the GGD's were the only group that didn't play such a somber song.  Give a little bit was a great choice....perfect lyrics plus it was more upbeat than the rest of the show.  I was starting to get almost depressed listening to the other bands.  Did anyone see Jason Freeze playing with Green Day?  Green day thanked him at the MTV music video awards...

For some reason i thought they play their new single better days it would have been fitting as well but the song is kind of sad.

hmm... i'm going to be the oddball here...

i think they sounded only "ok".  Perhaps it was just the vibe, but I only thought their performance was so-so.

I did have to giggle though at what John said before they sang.. about.. "Give a little bit.." and then he went on to say something like, "I wasn't going to say that"

I kind of agree with you. Don't get me wrong, I really enjoyed the performance, but I think I noticed a few "bloopers". And I'm no musician, so if I notice a mistake it's usually a pretty big one...lol... Unless it's just messed-up lyrics, I don't usually notice.
