Title: Goo Goo Dolls recording news!
Post by LazyEye on Aug 27th, 2005, 7:22am
Canadian guitarist Joel Shearer, former touring musician for Alanis Morrisette, has been in the studio and done some recordings for the Goo Goo Dolls and producer Glen Ballard. These sessions occurred in July.

Ballard has used Shearer a numerous times before on his records with artists such as Alanis Morisette, P.O.D. and now the Goo Goo Dolls.

Before entering the studio with the Goos, Shearer did track recordings with fellow Canadian band Our Lady Peace this spring for their upcoming album Healthy In Paranoid Times. The band was then so impressed with his skills and personality, that theyve hired him as their touring guitarist for their tour across America his fall.

Shearer, a member of LA-based trio Pedestrian Music, and his fellow band members are currently taking a hiatus doing various work for internationally know acts such as Shakira and Minnie Driver.
