Ok... here's the deal... I like a good challenge. Some of you may not...but try this...

Name your two LEAST favorite Goo Goo Dolls songs (one Johnny song/ one Robby song). To make things even tougher (b/c I know not everyone owns all of the albums) the song must come from Hold Me Up, Superstar Carwash, A Boy Named Goo, Dizzy Up the Girl, or Gutterflower.

I'll start...

for the john one its easy i hate we are the normal. i don't know why i just never ever liked it lol (it's my least favorite goo song ever)

for robby thats kinda hard. i love robby to death but i can't always listen to his songs. i have to be in a mood (although i can always always always listen to slave girl) except for slave girl i like about all of robbys songs the same.

it was tuff picking out my least fav johnny and robby songs,robby's music always makes me happy and johnny is just so talented with his writing it was very dificult.

Know Robby's right off the bat - January Friend (I can't STAND this one song, it's always skipped)

John....ugh...that's tougher. John does sing Million Miles Away though and I don't like that one at all. Not surprising since he didn't write it. ;D If it's one he wrote... I skip Flat Top sometimes when I'm not in the mood for it. It's not a fave of mine.

WOW!i really didn't expect in a milion yrs to read what i just did!very interseting wow...i don't hate Girl Right Next To Me but you know it just never really made my boat float if you know what i mean,i dunnothis is getting very intersting i'm still completely blown away!
i love every single song of theirs except for 22 seconds and everything on Jed except for James Dean and Up Yours,and i can't say first release cuz i don't own it yet.

I may have some enemies after I say the following...

My least favorite Robby song is So Long. Its so boring, and drawn out. It does nothing for me.

For Johnny, I cant stand Slide. Its been so overplayed and its just so old and annoying and I just cant stand it anymore.

I am gonna have to agree tho and say many songs on Jed are also on my "skip" list.

yes this is very interesting,in my entir elife i really would have never expected someone to say soemhting like GALB or Slide those were chart topping hits,i really didn't see those coming.but it's their opinions and i respect that,but yes the honesty is what makes this thread so fun!

I think we are the normal is a bit of an acquired taste. You have to listen to it a few times and you either do or don't like it. Personally, I could do with or without it.

I honestly think that the intro music in WE ARE THE NORMAL ...with the the acoustic guitar and violin...is the most beautiful intro I've ever heard...

Its just so funny how everyone has different tastes and likes.

Everyone seemed shocked when I listed Slide as my least favorite....but I am even more shocked when I see others list We Are The Normal, Just the Way You Are, GALB, What A Scene....

its so weird. I am with all of you....I may need a trip to the ER to get over my shock hahahaha.

I honestly believe that anyone who says they like all goo goo doll's songs is lying. It doesn't make you any better of a fan to not dislike anything.

For me, i'm not really into the whole superstar carwash album in general. There are a few songs I like, but not many. And most of the time I have to be in a very unique mood to listen to Robby songs.

For John songs - Think About Me; What A Scene; and lately, every song that's been overplayed unfortunatly.

oh my god the whole album? i love sscw! granted i haven't listened to it in ages so my views might be changed. actually i haven't listened to the goos in ages until here recently i listened to the live cd and i'm stuck on broadway and what a scene.

I'm just messing with you! To each his own. As long as there is a common GOO-LOVE, it's all good! You know, I find myself drawn to John singing "happy" songs. He often writes about lies, pain, hurt...things we all need to relate to sometimes when we're feeling bad. BUT, the mother comes out in me and I want to say, "Listen Johnny, you have accomplished so much. You had a rough start and worked so hard to come through it great!
